My name is Janete. My husband Luís and I are delighted to welcome you to our home.

We love travelling with our family and creating special memories with our children, but we always come across the same problem: finding a special place to stay, far away from cramped and busy hotels; a place where we can relax, where the children have enough space to play and in a location where it is easy to go out and make the most of everyday life in the city and locally.

It was while we were thinking about questions like these, which we have so often faced ourselves, that we decided to create this home away from home, our ONDJO, which literally means “house” in the Angolan language Umbundo.

This project came about from our dream of welcoming all our visitors in a bright, welcoming and attractive setting, where everyone would feel comfortable. It all started with a search for a place that could be a genuine home, combined with a deep love of Africa in all its diversity; a wish to find a perfect blend of two cultures, of Angola and Portugal, and a fascination with everything that is unique, with careful attention to detail.

With these objectives in mind, we guarantee that all our homes have a fully equipped kitchen, where you can prepare your own meals with the fantastic fresh ingredients available in the incredible local markets.

Here you will also find comfortable beds so that you can relax after a day full of activities and walks around the tranquil neighbourhoods where the homes are located.

As soon as you enter, you will be transported to the continent of Africa. Relax and allow yourself to be carried away by the intense aromas, by our literature and handicrafts, by the colours of our capulanas (African fabrics) and all the special details which will remain long in your memory.
